Subscription and withdrawal

This page explains how the trial, the subscription, withdrawal and deleting your account work in practice. The terms are set out in the terms of service. The emails confirming a contract or a withdrawal are provided in Finnish. If the language versions of the terms conflict, the interpretation more favourable to the customer applies; in all other respects, the Finnish version applies (terms of service, section 24).

Free trial

The trial lasts 14 days and is free of charge. No payment card or other payment details are needed: the trial starts when you confirm your email address and accept the terms of service, and you go straight into the app. You will receive an email confirming that your trial has started, with the terms of service attached. The trial does not turn into a paid subscription on its own. The page where you start your trial and the confirmation emails are in Finnish. The app itself is available in English; a new account opens in Finnish, and you can switch under “Kieli” (Language) in the user menu.

If you want to continue, select “Subscribe” in the app and enter your payment details. If you do this during the trial, you keep your remaining trial days and the first charge is made only when the trial ends. The app shows the charge date before you continue to payment. Your payment details are handled by Stripe and are not passed on to TuntiTassu. The payment page is provided by Stripe. Our note on the date of the first charge is in Finnish.

If you do not continue, the account is locked when the trial ends. Your entries can still be viewed and downloaded, but you cannot add new ones. The data on a locked trial account is deleted three months after the end of the trial at the earliest, and you will be notified of the deletion by email 30 days in advance.

The trial can only be used once. If your email address already has a personal TuntiTassu account, no new trial is started; instead, you sign in to your account. If your account has no trial running, the subscription starts as a paid one straight away – you are told this before you confirm the payment. An account in your employer’s or another organisation’s TuntiTassu does not use up your trial.

Price

TuntiTassu Soolo costs €9/month or €90/year. If you start a trial or subscribe during 2026, the price is €7/month or €70/year, and the offer price stays for as long as your subscription continues – including after a break, when you come back with the same email address. No VAT is added to the prices, so you pay exactly this amount. You choose monthly or yearly billing when you enter your payment details.

Reminders near the end of the trial

You will get a reminder by email about three days before your trial ends. If you have not entered your payment details, the message tells you when the trial ends and what happens after that, and once the trial has ended you will get one more message about the account being locked. If you have already entered your payment details, the reminder tells you the date and amount of the first charge. So you still have time to take a break before the charge if TuntiTassu turns out not to be for you.

Withdrawing within 14 days (right of withdrawal)

You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the making of the paid contract. The contract is made when you enter your payment details, including when you do so during the trial. You do not need to cancel the free trial.

In the app, you withdraw like this: open “Settings and backups” from the user menu. During the withdrawal period, the settings show a separate “Right of withdrawal” section with its end date, above the Account section. The “Withdraw from the contract” button opens a confirmation, and “Send the withdrawal notice” cancels the contract: the subscription ends immediately. You will get a confirmation by email. The confirmation is in Finnish.

Ending your subscription later: taking a break

When you want to end or pause your subscription after the withdrawal period, use “Take a break” (“Settings and backups” → Account). In the app’s own words, a break means: “Your subscription ends at the end of the period you have paid for, and you will not be charged for any further billing period. Your entries are kept, and you can continue later – they will be waiting when you come back.”

Resuming your subscription

When the paid period has ended, the app shows a locked view headed “Your subscription has ended”. Your entries are safe and can be downloaded (“Download entries (CSV)” and “Download your data (JSON)”), but you cannot add new ones. The “Resume subscription” button opens a confirmation and takes you to payment – your 2026 offer price is kept when you come back with the same address. If your trial ended without payment details, the view is headed “Your trial ended on (date)” and the button is “Subscribe”.

You manage your payment method, receipts and billing details in Stripe’s customer portal: the “Subscription and billing” item in the user menu (in the locked view, “Billing (Stripe)”).

Deleting your account straight away

If you want to delete your account and data without waiting, use the “Delete the account and data now” link in the Account section. Deletion is protected by two safeguards: first download your data (“Download your data before deleting”), then type your email address to confirm. After that, “Delete permanently” deletes your account, entries and settings immediately. Deletion cannot be undone, and the remaining period is not refunded – if you only want to stop billing and keep your data, the right choice is a break.

Keeping a copy of your data

You can get your data out at any time: “Settings and backups” → “Download Excel/CSV” (your entries for a spreadsheet) or “Download your data (JSON)” (profile, settings and all entries). More details: Reports and data export (for signed-in users).
